Pranayama-an understanding our energy-is at the root of all Yoga practise. The body becomes healthier physically, emotionally and mentally when we are able to balance energy in and energy out .. this includes what we consume, what we do & how we rest.
Many of us are overstimulated - encouraged to ‘‘soldier on’, rewarded when we achieve more and more. Without good food & rest, the body cannot digest properly and cannot restore cells. Overtime we become depleted and out of balance … mental & physical health issues arise …
In Yoga we train to reverse this. We are mindful of the food & drink we consume and we learn to control the body’s automatic deep-rooted responses.
